Late Shri Labhubhai Trivedi, one of the founding fathers of Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust and the former Pro Vice Chancellor of Saurashtra University, Rajkot, was a symbol of social service through education and youth development.

A real eminent educationist with vision, he dedicated his entire life for development and management of education. He was the pillar and guiding force behind many social, cultural and educational institutions in Saurashtra.

He was appointed as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Saurashtra University for two terms and contributed immensely towards the educational development of Gujarat and Saurashtra.

To commemorate his sweet memory, Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust established Shri Labhubhai Trivedi Institute of Engineering & Technology with a vision to provide quality technical education and fulfill his dream.
